We are committed to energy management by calculating and monitoring greenhouse gas emissions across all operations in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. In this way, we bring forward the carbon neutrality target from 2050 to 2040, with the intermediate objective of reducing scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions by 50.4% by 2030. To reduce emissions into the atmosphere, we seek the investment in solutions and equipment with better energy efficiency, such as installing photovoltaic panels in our facilities (currently delivering ~30% of the energy we consume), install LED lighting solutions, changing HVAC equipment to equipment with water circulation and placing electrical chargers for our vehicle fleet in our facilities. The monitoring of these measures and calculation of emission reductions is carried out biannually and shared with interested parties.

In addition to internal energy management, we also apply more responsible measures and practices throughout our value chain, recognizing that indirect scope 3 emissions are the most representative, corresponding to around 90% of total CO2 emissions recorded. Therefore, our suppliers must comply with local regulations, track all energy sources and ensure that they use renewable energy sources in order to reduce their carbon footprint and positively contribute to the fight against climate change.
