Proudtuguese We are Salsa - and so are you. Our family is lucky to have you! Salsa was born in 1994 in a small town in the north of Portugal, right in the heart of the local textile industry. Nestled between the peaceful countryside and the dynamic Porto coastal region, we grew with the people of the region, taking pride in our work and our roots. We believe that we are the best at what we do (we have all the right reasons to believe so!). We are passionate, enthusiastic and loud, we welcome everyone with our arms wide open. Like our denim, we make our presence felt and inspire trust. Like our artists, singers, designers, architects and so many other daring Portuguese, we break barriers and bring a modern and timeless creativity to all our customers, without ever losing sight of our roots.How do we do that? Well, both through our chain of shops and our thousands of multi-brand partners who sell our clothes worldwide and who we are proud to call our family. Craftmanship We are based in a world-famous textile region, where we harness centuries of accumulated experience, not only of our people, but also of our partners and suppliers, who are key to the manufacturing process. With persistence and perseverance, our mission is clear: to create the best jeans in the world. Our people’s know-how throughout the entire process, combined with the high-quality materials we use, brings us closer to fulfilling our mission. We are innovative and inventive. We are incredibly fortunate to have our own industrial facility (and our very own laundry!), which combines the best innovation and technology: from laser machines to ozone washing, always with the craftsmanship of each of our technicians. As the saying goes, “it’s where the magic happens”. Nobody knows denim and detail like we do: each fabric, each thread, each stitch and each button. We sew with the passion of people who work to make jeans an art form. We believe that all bodies are beautiful just the way they are; sometimes all it takes is a little confidence to feel comfortable in your own skin. We work tirelessly to make our brand more inclusive. We know there's a long road ahead, but every step we take brings us a little closer to our goal. We’re passion driven to create the perfect jeans for each one of you and to push the boundaries of innovation. Each new fit means more than 50 prototypes and hundreds of fittings, which are then finished using one of our 67 wash techniques and more than 40 types of special finishes. We want to bring out the best of you. It’s not just about being trendy or fashionable. It’s about quality, comfort and how you feel when you wear our/your jeans. We want you to feel good in what you wear so that you feel good about yourself: it’s our fit & feel philosophy. |
People & Planet We started out as a little family and although we're bigger now, we are still feel very much the same! We're based in a small town where everyone knows each other, where we feel like we're part of the community, and we wouldn’t change a thing. Many of our people were born or live close by: they are neighbours, friends, family. We are proud of our roots and how they have nurtured us. We believe success comes with celebrating and never compromising values such as honesty, trust and tradition.We get better every day. By leveraging our industrial expertise, we are constantly working towards making the perfect pair of jeans while being energy and resource efficient and reducing waste.
