Types of jeans by leg - Salsa Jeans

Jeans by type of leg

When you're looking for the perfect jeans (or the jeans that best suit your body), there are several things to take into account. The waist (which in jeans can go from a very high waist to lower waists), the cut (tighter or looser) and the type of leg. We’re going to tell you what kind of jeans models (for men or women) there are according to the type of leg.

Flare jeans

Also known as bell-bottom jeans, these jeans evoke the wonderful style of the 1970s. These are jeans that widen from the knee to the floor and are narrower at the waist.

Bootcut jeans

Bootcut jeans are very similar to flare jeans. These jeans are designed to be worn with boots (as the name itself implies). That's why we love them for the autumn and winter months (although they're perfect in any season of the year).

Cropped jeans

And after winter... it's spring and then summer. Cropped jeans have the distinction of being straight jeans that end slightly above the ankle. This means you can pair them with different kinds of shoes, such as high-heeled sandals, practical trainers or even boots.

Skinny jeans

Skinny jeans are probably the most popular jeans ever (since the beatniks made them a favourite in the 1950s). These jeans adjust to your silhouette all along the leg and down to the ankle. As you can imagine, the combinations are infinite: casual, with a t-shirt, business, with a blazer, or sporty, with a sweatshirt. The choice is yours!

Slim jeans

Uma variante dos skinny săo os Slim jeans are a variant of skinny jeans. The main difference between the two is the fact that slim jeans aren't as tight at the bottom of the leg — but they do still hug the curves of your body.

Straight jeans

Finally, the most traditional, evergreen jeans are straight jeans. The leg of these jeans is straight from hip to ankle and the waist is generally high.

Other jeans cuts

Apart from jeans models by type of leg, there are also other models or cuts that have become very popular in recent decades.

Mom jeans or boyfriend jeans

We can't help it: we love comfortable clothes. These two types of jeans are loose jeans with a fluid effect that will suit you very well. The waistband on mom jeans is above the bellybutton (making them more elegant), while boyfriend jeans have a super relaxed cut (the name comes from the idea of women wearing men's jeans).

Push-up and Push-in jeans

And as we're jeans specialists here at Salsa... our models (whatever the type of jeans or leg) come with innovations like push-up and push-in. Push-in jeans have a tummy tuck effect, thanks to their interior reinforcement. And the push-up models include a combination of technical design and comfortable raw materials, as well as enough elasticity to highlight your curves.
