How to mix and match knitwear - Salsa Jeans

How to
match knitwear

When the colder months of autumn and winter are on their way, we start taking our knitwear out of the wardrobe. We’re going to show you which knits are worn most and how you should match them this year.

Wool jumper

When it comes to knitwear, wool or jersey knit jumpers are undoubtedly classics.

You can choose a polo neck jumper (especially in the colder months) in white, which goes well with dark trousers.

We love the option in pastel colours and balloon sleeves or the colour block trend.

Generally, we like wearing jumpers with trousers (jeans or trousers in a different fabric) and we love it when the wool percentage is low; that way you don't have wool fibres making you itch. Fabrics like cotton and acrylic help us make jumpers much softer and more comfortable.

T-shirts

For men or for women, t-shirts are a must-have for autumn. There are lots of options: from short-sleeved tops for the early weeks of autumn to long-sleeved t-shirts for the end of the season.

What we like most about t-shirts is how versatile they are and the fact they can be worn with jackets. Jackets are key for autumn outfits: combine cardigans or jackets so you are neither too cold, nor too hot.

Cardigans

And, speaking of women’s jackets, cardigans are king. We have options for all tastes.

The classic cardigan will be your best friend when the lower temperatures come; we love combining them with a cotton t-shirt and jeans.

Long cardigans are perfect for elongating your figure and they go well with any kind of trousers.

As we said, they can be matched with any kind of trousers (in fact the simplest thing is to wear them with your favourite jeans), but they're perfect with monochromatic looks too: the different shades and textures of the cardigans will make any outfit look elegant and not at all monotonous.

Jersey dresses

Just because autumn and winter are coming, you don’t have to put away your skirts and dresses. In fact, jersey dresses are in this season.

We love our figure hugging versions that highlight your curves and jersey dresses that accentuate the waist, with a flared cut in darker colours. This way, you’ll feel extra stylish this winter.

Knit scarves

Without a doubt, the most popular knit for winter. If you didn't learn to knit in 2020 (as many did), don't worry!

Choose a scarf in a different colour to add a special touch to your simplest outfits: accessories are the easiest way to make your looks more interesting.

Now you know how to match your jersey knit clothes... dare to wear them this autumn-winter and make the most of your wardrobe!
